I attended this lecture (above) by Michael Raynor; his presentation was [O]utstanding! Two of my Friends came along: Michael Reading (a visiting scholar at the University of Toronto) and Matt Held (currently founder/CEO of a very promising iTech Services firm).
Michael Raynor's talk was (unusually) engaging, and the Q&A was very stimulating; he gave us much to think about (email me if you care to have my notes and Q&A). He recommended these seminal books: Michael Porter's "Competitive Strategy" and Jim Collins' "Good to Great".
